Amati Global Investors is pleased to announce that it has retained its status as a signatory to the UN-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), having been awarded a 5-star rating in the category of ‘Direct – Listed equity – Active Fundamental’, which is the category specific to Amati’s investment activities and is a measure of the incorporation of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors into the investment process. Amati also achieved 4 out of 5 stars for the ‘Public Governance and Strategy’ and ‘Confidence building measures’ modules.

Inez Ling, Amati’s Research Associate, said: “We are delighted to retain our PRI signatory status and to achieve such high scores across the relevant modules. We feel that it is an endorsement of our work in this area and a vindication of our decision to develop our own taxonomy to support the integration of ESG considerations into the investment process”.

The PRI is the world’s leading proponent of responsible investment. It works to understand the investment implications of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors and to support its international network of investor signatories in incorporating these factors into their investment and ownership decisions. The PRI acts in the long-term interests of its signatories, of the financial markets and economies in which they operate and ultimately of the environment and society as a whole.
